Northern Districts will host the Ford Trophy one day cricket final next weekend after beating Canterbury by 4 wickets in their semi-final in Christchurch.
Canterbury made 224 for 9 in their 50 overs with Peter Fulton top scoring with an unbeaten 82.
Northern chased down their target with 1 over to spare with Daniel Flynn making 71.
Canterbury will now play Wellington on Wednesday after Wellington beat Auckland by 4 wickets in the elimination semi-final.
After deciding to bat first at Eden Park, Auckland were bowled out in the 49th over for 220.
In reply Wellington reached their target with 9 balls to spare.
