The Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton says credit must go to his crew after he and Nico Rosberg recorded Mercedes' first one-two finish since they returned to Formula One as a works team in 2010.

The British 2008 world champion lead from pole to finish easily pulling away from his rivals to win by 17 seconds, his 23rd career victory but first in Malaysia in eight attempts.

After a disappointing 3rd lap retirement in Australia, Hamilton thanked his team for helping he and Rosberg secure a rare one-two.

Rosberg leads the drivers' championship with 43 points, 18 ahead of Hamilton with another point back to Ferrari's Fernando Alonso who was a distant fourth last night.
