New Zealand has won the Hong Kong rugby sevens, beating England 26-7 in wet conditions to clinch the title.
Inspired by an outstanding performance from captain DJ Forbes the New Zealanders were unstoppable as they claimed their first Hong Kong crown since 2011.
The victory giving the world series defending champions a seven point lead at the top of the overall standings over South Africa, who lost to England in the Cup quarter-finals.
Gordon Tietjens team had beaten Australia 19-7 in the semi-finals.
With two more legs remaining in Scotland and England in May, New Zealand top the standings with 136 points, seven points ahead of South Africa, who lost to in the quarter-finals in Hong Kong, and Fiji are third overall.
Meanwhile Japan defeated Italy 26-5 in the final of the separate 12-team qualifier competition to win core team status and become a regular presence on the Sevens World Series circuit for 2014/2015.
