Interprovincial golf shaping up as northern affair

8:30 am on 8 October 2009

It looks like the women's interprovincial golf tournament will come down to a battle between the northern teams after the second day in Auckland.

Defending champions Waikato and North Harbour remain unbeaten in one division just ahead of Northland, while last year's runners-up Auckland and Bay of Plenty are unbeaten in the other division.

Wellington bounced back from defeat by Auckland in the morning with a convincing victory over Southland in the afternoon at The Grange Golf Club.

There are two rounds today and the final round robin games on Friday with semifinals and final on Saturday.
