Twenty20 performances could prove costly

The New Zealand men's cricketers' disappointing performance at the Twenty20 World Cup could prove costly for some of the side when it comes to the renewal of national contracts.

In the wake of the side's humiliating final group match loss to Sri Lanka, Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum said there were aspects of the side's performance throughout the tournament which irked him.

McCullum said he'd go into those in the review of the tournament with the coach Mike Hesson.

The squad for the upcoming Test and Twenty20 matches against the West Indies in the Caribbean is due to be named next week.
