New Zealander Mitch Evans recovered somewhat in the 23-lap sprint race at the Bahrain Grand Prix to take seventh place on Monday.
Evans had a disappointing 14th place in Sunday's feature race - the season-opener - as the 19-year-old struggled for rear tyre grip to slip back from his seventh place start.
The Russian Time driver had posted the fastest time in practice.
