Italy have staged a superb fightback to beat Britain in the Davis Cup quarter-finals thanks to Fabio Fognini's shock win over Andy Murray in the first reverse singles.
Britain were on the verge of reaching their first Davis Cup semi-final since 1981, but Fognini was in inspired form on the clay in Naples as he cruised past Murray 6-3 6-3 6-4.
Andreas Seppi then won the deciding rubber in straight sets over James Ward.
Italy will play Switzerland in September's semi-finals, and the Czech Republic play France.
