Durant beats Jordan's record

American basketball star Kevin Durant has eclipsed the great Michael Jordan's modern NBA record, scoring at least 25 points for his 41st consecutive game.

Jordan had the most-consecutive 25-point-plus games in the past 50 seasons with 40, but Durant notched 38 points as his playoffs-bound Oklahoma City Thunder went down at the Phoenix Suns, by 122 points to 115.

The Suns are chasing the Western Conference's final playoff spot.

New Zealander Stephen Adams didn't take the court for the Thunder for the first time since joining in the draft.

And the Portland Trail Blazers clinched a berth in the NBA playoffs for the first time in three years, with a 100-94 home court win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
