The Central Pulse have handed the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic their first loss of the ANZ netball championship with a 56-53 overtime victory in Hamilton.
Up by just one in the second period of extra time, two big intercepts from Joline Henry gave the visitors the break they needed to seal the game.
It was a highly anticipated clash between the top-of-the-table Magic and the under-performing Pulse and the game delivered on its pre-match hype from every player on court.
The scores were level at 45-all at the end of regulation time.
The Magic remains top of the standings, while the Pulse are 6th.
Meanwhile the Melbourne Vixens have gone second after a 50-38 win over 5th placed Queensland Firebirds.
