The Warriors halfback, Shaun Johnson, is taking the side's heartbreaking 21-20 NRL loss to the Bulldogs personally after a tough week for the club.

The playing group were desperate for a win in thier first game under the interim coach, Andrew McFadden, after the axing of Matt Elliott sparked a public stoush between the club's owners Sir Owen Glenn and Andrew McFadden.

However it wasn't to be as Trent Hodkinson kicked a match-winning field goal to sink the Warriors.

Johnson was disappointed after missing two conversions and blamed himself for failing to step up in the big moments.
