Sentimental favourites Mark Skaife and Greg Murphy have been hit with a stewards' penalty which has shunted them down the grid for today's Bathurst 1000 motor race in Australia.
The Holden duo will start from 10th on the grid after Murphy was excluded from last night's top 10 shootout results for failing to arrive at the pit lane exit to start his lap on time.
It means Murphy's time - which would have qualified the Sprint Gas Racing team seventh - was thrown out and they were shunted back to 10th place.
The decorated Skaife, a five-time Bathurst winner, has come out of retirement to race at Mt Panorama.
Garth Tander in a Holden is on pole.
