Versatile Blues frontrower Tom McCartney is leaving the Super Rugby franchise to link up with his former Blues coach Pat Lam at Irish province Connacht.
The 28-year-old, who can play both hooker and loosehead prop, has signed a three-year deal.
McCartney will leave after a final season with Auckland.
He's played 84 times for Auckland and has 64 Super Rugby games under his belt.
McCartney joins the Chiefs player Bundee Aki in moving to Connacht.
