Anderson makes IPL debut

The New Zealand cricket allrounder Corey Anderson's made an inauspicious start to his Indian Premier League career.

Having signed up for $870,000 with the Mumbai Indians, who're coached by former Black Caps coach John Wright, Anderson scored just two from eight balls and took none for 33 from three overs, as his side lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders by 41 runs in Abu Dhabi.

There had been doubts over just how much of the IPL Anderson would play after he dislocated a finger at the Twenty20 World Cup in Bangladesh, but he has made a quicker than expected recovery.
