A relieved Michael Rogers has set his sights on this year's Tour de France after the Australian cyclist's sanity was tested during a five-month doping saga.
The three-time world time trial champion was notified that cycling's world governing body had lifted his suspension and cleared him to resume racing after testing positive to the banned substance clenbuterol in Japan last October.
The UCI says there "was a significant probability" that the presence of the drug came from contaminated meat the Australian had eaten in China a few days before the Japan Cup.
Rogers, who had always argued his innocence, now aims to line up at July's Tour de France and perhaps as soon as next month's Giro d'Italia.
