Delhi organisers want the Commonwealth Games Federation's chief executive, the New Zealand Mike Hooper, to leave the Indian capital.

India is under a lot of pressure to have the city ready in time for next year's Commonwealth Games with the Federation earlier this week saying they're behind schedule in almost all aspects of preperation.

Delhi chairman Suresh Kalmadi says Hooper has not proved beneficial to the organising committee, he's been of no use, and they'd like a replacement.

Hooper says he's disappointed with the personal attack and feels if he wasn't there, the preperations ould be even further behind.

The Games are just under a year away.
