Canterbury have secured a home semi-final with 46 points, but the final places for the rest are still up in the air with Wellington second, followed by Southland, Waikato, Hawkes Bay and Auckland.
Southland could have the most difficult job, needing to beat Canterbury in a Ranfurly Shield challenge, to secure their place, a loss could see them miss out completely having spent the entire season in the top 4.
Wellington play Tasman, Hawkes Bay play Northland and Waikato and Auckland face each other in what could turn out to be a quarter-final.
