The former Australia netball coach Norma Plummer will not be renewing her contract with the West Coast Fever beyond the current trans-Tasman championship season.

Netball WA issued a statement announcing Plummer will step down after three years in the role, during which time she drew high profile players like Catherine Cox, Eboni Beckford-Chambers and Natalie Medhurst to the west.

She's also been credited with playing a pivotal role in the development of netball talent in Western Australia, including the establishment of a high performance pathway for athletes and coaches.

The West Coast Fever currently sit second from the bottom in the ANZ championship league.

A replacement coach has not been announced, but Plummer said in the statement she is confident they will be able to reap the benefits from her time with the club.
