The Central Pulse have climbed to within a win of the trans-Tasman netball championship top four after claiming a 54-44 victory over the table topping Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in Porirua.
It was the Pulse's second win over the 2012 champions following last month's triumph in Hamilton, with the Wellington based side the only team to beat the Magic this season.
The Pulse are now fifth on 10 points, two points behind the third and fourth placed Queensland Firebirds and New South Wales Swifts.
Despite the loss, the Magic remain in second spot, equal on points with leaders the Melbourne Vixens.
