Brazil improves in world football rankings

Spain remain the top team in the latest men's world football rankings, while - five weeks out from the World Cup - Brazil are officially the best side from South America.

Making the biggest jump of the major teams, World Cup hosts Brazil moved up two spots to fourth as Colombia and Uruguay each slipped a place to fifth and sixth respectively.

The Brazilians dropped only 11 months ago to a record low of 22.

Behind Spain, Germany stay in second place and Portugal in third. Argentina, Switzerland, Italy and Greece complete the top 10.

New Zealand is ranked 111th.
