Former Canterbury coach wins top award

The former Canterbury now Munster rugby coach Rob Penney has been named the Northern Hemisphere's Celtic League's coach of the year.

Penney guided the Irish side to third place in the Pro 12 competition and an away semi-final against Glasgow Warriors which will be played later this month.

Penney is set to leave Munster at the end of the year after two seasons at the helm to take up the head coaching position at Japanese club the NTT Shining Arcs.
