The New Zealand women's rugby sevens side has sucessfully defended their World Series title after winning the season-ending tournament in Amsterdam.
New Zealand beat Australia 29-12 in the final, to claim their third tournament of the season and to finish four points clear of Australia in the overall standings.
Earlier on day two, Australia beat Brazil and Canada on route to the final, while New Zealand overcame Russia before being tested by England in the semi-final, making certain of the victory in the final minutes.
The New Zealand Rugby Chief Executive Steve Tew welcomed the win as a great double achievement for sevens rugby here, after the All Blacks Sevens also clinched the men's title last week for the 12th time.
Tew congratulated the women's captain Huriana Manuel and coach Sean Horan for their victory in a very competitive series, in which the winner was not found until the last game of the last tournament.
It wasn't a total loss for Australia, however, with Emilee Cherry named the Women's Sevens Player of the Year.
She is the first Australian to win the award after Kayla McAlister of New Zealand received the inaugural accolade in 2013.
Cherry beat fellow nominees McAlister and Sarah Goss of New Zealand.
