Reuben Te Rangi shook off an ankle injury to score 28 points, leading the Southland Sharks to a comfortable 82-66 win over the Waikato Pistons in the National Basketball League.
Six days ago Te Rangi struggled against the Pistons, fouling out in 22 minutes with only six points.
Last night it was a different story as Te Rangi shot an efficient 9 from 16 from the field and 4 from 8 from the three point line which tied his season high back in the opening round.
After trailing by three at the end of the opening period, the visitors outscored Waikato 30-9 in the second quarter.
The Sharks are fourth on the table, just ahead of the Pistons.
