The All Whites strikers Kosta Barbarouses and Shane Smeltz have been ruled out of Friday night's international football match with South Africa in Auckland.
Barbarouses will miss the match with an ankle strain while Smeltz has been withdrawn by his new A-League club Sydney FC after a season marred by injury.
The pair will be replaced by Jason Hicks from the Wellington Phoenix South Melbourne defender James Musa.
The All Whites go into camp on Monday in Auckland ahead of next Friday's match at Mt Smart Stadium at 7.30pm.
