Italy unhappy about World Cup food reports

Italy's World Cup footballers are unhappy about hearing that food unfit for consumption has been found and confiscated from their hotel in Brazil, but it won't be a problem for them.

The Italian team doctor says they're taking most of their own food anyway, and everything served to the players would be checked by their own staff.

Italy's main sports paper said the team would be taking with them to Brazil 20 tonnes of goods, including food and sporting equipment.

Brazilian health and safety officials raided the England and Italy team hotels yesterday and confiscated fish, butter, ham and other food past their sell-by dates.
