The New Zealand Olympic Committee selectors have confirmed triathlete Nicky Samuels to the individual women's event for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Samuels was initially named in the team as a reserve for the Mixed Team Relay but after appeal was last week added to the nominations for the individual event by Triathlon New Zealand.
New Zealand Olympic Committee CEO Kereyn Smith says the nomination showed Samuels had the potential to finish in the top six at the games.
Samuels joins Andrea Hewitt and Kate McIlroy in the women's individual competition which is on the first day of the Commonwealth Games on July 24th.
Tony Dodds, Ryan Sissons and Tom Davison compete in the men's individual event.
