Record fourth straight NBA finals for Heat

6:13 pm on 31 May 2014

The Miami Heat basketballers have booked their place in the NBA finals for a record fourth straight year with a massively one-sided 117-92 romp over the Indiana Pacers.

The defending champions led by a massive 60-34 at half-time in game six of the Eastern Conference finals in Miami, and by 33 points at three-quarter time.

The result gives Miami a 4-2 win in the best-of-seven series, and it's the third straight season they've eliminated the Pacers in the playoffs.

The Heat go on to face either the San Antonio Spurs or the Oklahoma City Thunder, who feature Rotorua's Steven Adams.

The Thunder have to win at home on Sunday to keep that series alive.
