11:59 am on 31 May 2014

The top three women's seeds have been eliminated from the French Open tennis tournament, after Germany's Angnieszka Radwanska was ousted in the third round by the Croat Ajla Tomljanovic in straight sets.

Radwanska follows Serena Williams and Li Na out of the tournament, after the first and second seeds didn't survive the first round.

The ninth seed Dominika Cibulkova has also been knocked out, beaten by Australian Sam Stosur in the third round.

Stosur will meet Maria Sharapova in the round of 16.

In the men's draw, second seed Novak Djokovic was taken to four sets by Croatia's Marin Cilic, before the Serb won through to a fourth round encounter with the home favourite Jo Wilfried-Tsonga.

Roger Federer also needed four sets to dispose of Russia's Dmitry Tursunov.

The fourth seed will next meet Latvia's Ernests Gulbis.
