The New Zealand pace bowler Kyle Mills is doubtful for the opening cricket match of the three-ODI series against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi tonight.
Mills has a side strain and captain Dan Vettroi says if he misses out it will be a big loss for them.
The Black Caps have gone into the series without opener Jesse Ryder, pace bowler Daryl Tuffey and allrounder Grant Elliott.
Iain Butler is also an injury concern which means Tim Southee could get a start tonight or offspinner Nathan McCullum.
