Williamson ton puts Black Caps in strong position against West Indies

The New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson brought up his sixth Test century to put the Black Caps in a strong position after the first day of the opening cricket Test against the West Indies in Jamaica.

After winning the toss New Zealand ended the day on 240 for two.

Williamson came to the wicket in the ninth over of the day and batted 320 minutes and 259 balls for his century.

He's unbeaten on 105 and Ross Taylor is on 34.

Earlier Tom Latham made 83 and Peter Fulton just one.

Jerome Taylor and Shane Shillingford have a wicket each.
