Corletto signs with Melbourne

Melbourne United have signed veteran basketballer Daryl Corletto from the New Zealand Breakers for the upcoming NBL season.

United have replaced the Tigers in this season's competition after owner Larry Kestelman rebranded the club last month.

Corletto won two NBL titles with the Melbourne Tigers during his decade-long first stint in his home town.

His move from the Breakers reunites the 32-year-old with former Tigers team-mate Chris Anstey, who will coach United in their inaugural season.

Corletto helped the Breakers to two titles during his three years in New Zealand but says it's time to come home.
