The highly-rated Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has warmed up for Wimbledon by winning the Queen's Club title in London.

Dimitrov, the fourth seed, outlasted Spain's Feliciano Lopez 6-7 7-6 7-6.

Dimitrov's maiden success on grass makes him the first player since Roger Federer and David Ferrer in 2012 to win titles on three different surfaces, hardcourt, clay and now grass, in the same year.

The world number 13 was cheered on by his girlfriend and French Open champion Maria Sharapova.
