Broom heads back to Canterbury

The New Zealand cricket international Neil Broom has confirmed he will leave Otago and return to Canterbury.

Broom came to Dunedin to join Otago for the 2005/06 season and in nine seasons for the Volts played 77 first class matches for 4617 runs at an average of 41.59 with 12 centuries.

Broom's first first class game for Canterbury in the 2014-15 season will be the 100th of his career.

He's played 22 one day internationals and 10 Twenty20 internationals for New Zealand.
