The Melbourne Vixens have won the grand final of the trans-Tasman netball league beating the Queensland Firebirds 53-42 in Melbourne.
The match was the last for Vixens goal-shoot Catherine Cox who retires with 108 Test caps for Australia.
The Vixens finished first on the ladder after the regular season and the Firebirds second.
Last week, Queensland defeated 4th placed Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in the preliminary final, 54-50.
