Tesoriero breaks her own world record

The New Zealand Paralympic Cycling Champion, Paula Tesoriero has broken the 500m Time Trial World Record she set at the Beijing Paralympic Games last year, and claimed the gold medal at the Para-Cycling Track World Championships in Manchester.

Tesoriero clocked a time of 43.142 seconds, point 14 of a second quicker than she did in beijing.

Tesoriero has had a great year on the international circuit, winning gold in both the 500m Time Trial and 3000m Individual Pursuit at the World Para-Cycling Cup also held in Manchester in May as well setting a new world record in the Flying 200m Start at the same event. Tesoriero then went on to win gold in the road race at the Para-Cycling World Championships in Italy as well as bronze in the individual road time trial.
