The All Black first five Dan Carter said he felt a bit nervous heading into his first Super Rugby game of the season, but he's ready to start this week.
Carter played the last 30 minutes of the Crusaders loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday night after Colin Slade took a knock to the head.
The Crusaders are still well placed for the play-offs but will need some points from their last 2 matches against the Blues and the Highlanders to secure a home game and Carter says he's ready to step up.
Despite their loss the Crusaders are still on top of the New Zealand Conference.
