Champion Murray in a hurry

8:23 am on 1 July 2014

Defending champion and tennis world number five Andy Murray neutralised the big-swinging game of lanky South African Kevin Anderson to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals with a straight sets win.

The 27-year-old Briton returned sharply and drew the 6-foot-8 Anderson into rallies to impose his game and extend his run of successive victories on the Wimbledon grass to 17.

Scarily for his rivals the 6-4 6-3 7-6 victory was the toughest match of the tournament for Murray who's dropped just 19 games on his way to the fourth round.
