The Black Sox softball team have completed their tour of Canada with a victory at the Calgary Invitational Tournament.

They beat the Saskatoon All Stars 8-1 in the tournament final to finish the tour with a record of 17 games played, 14 wins, one draw and two losses.

Captained by Nathan Nukunuku and coached by Mark Sorenson the aim of the Black Sox was to win 90 percent of their games on the quick-fire trip across Canada where next year's world championships will also be held.

The bulk of the team now returns New Zealand, although some players are staying on in North America to play for club sides.
