Drysdale will go head-to-head with Roel Braas of The Netherlands in the final of the Diamond Challenge event on the River Thames.

The 2012 London Olympic gold medalist scored a comprehensive semi-final win on Saturday, beating Australian Nick Purnell by three lengths.

The 35-year-old will now race against Braas, a member of the Dutch men's eight at the London Olympics and recent winner of the men's single scull title at the Holland Beker regatta.

Drysdale, a five-time world champion, won the Diamond Challenge Sculls crown at Henley in 2006, 2009 and 2010.

He also won gold at last month's World Cup regatta in France.
