Team New Zealand has finished at the top of the leader board after the first round robin of the Louis Vuitton Trophy regatta in the south of France, despite suffering a loss in the last race of the round.
British TEAMORIGIN beat Team New Zealand in the last race but the New Zealander's, with a six-win, one-loss record finished top of the table on six points.
The Italian entry Azzurra is also on six points but sits in second after Team New Zealand claimed top spot on countback, having beaten Azzura earlier in the round.
Third was TEAMORIGIN (UK) on five point (5 wins, 2 Losses). Artemis fourth (3-4) BMW Oracle fifth (3-3) followed by Synergy, ALL4ONE and Team French Spirit.
The final match of the round between BMW Oracle and Synergy was abandoned when the time limit was exceeded.
The format for the rest of the regatta will be changed to make up for time lost in the light conditions.
