France football coach Raymond Domenech says he's been stunned at seeing his team treated as guilty men in the aftermath of the Thierry Henry World Cup handball scandal.

Henry has been widely condemned after admitting he handled the ball which helped France beat Ireland and qualify for the World Cup finals.

Domenech says he doesn't understand why his players are expected to apologise when it was a refereeing error.
