Willis qualifies for 1500m final

Two New Zealand runners have qualified for Sunday's men's 1500 metres final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Olympic silver medallist Nick Willis won the first heat in a time of three minutes 40.76 seconds at Hampden Park, while Hamilton's Zane Robertson was seventh and failed to go through.

Running in the second heat, Nelson's Julian Nelson was fifth and makes the final as the fastest loser in a time of three minutes 40.33 seconds.

The final takes place at half-past eight on Sunday morning New Zealand time.
