With most of the top players playing in this week's World Golf Championship event in Ohio, Wilkinson took advantage of the modified stableford scoring system, firing seven birdies and two bogeys in his final round for 12 points giving him a total of 34 for the week.

That was enough to tie for eighth, 15 points behind the winner, Australia's Geoff Ogilvy.

Fellow New Zealander Danny Lee finished back in the field with 21 points in a tie for 53rd.

Wilkinson's expected to climb five places on the FedEx Cup standings to 103rd, while Lee is projected to drop one spot to 105th.
