The New Zealand cricket captain Dan Vettori teams should have one rather two chances per innings to question an umpire's decision under the new referral system which will come into play in todays opening test against Pakistan in Dunedin.
The system has been trialled previously but is now officially part of test cricket.
Vettori says he's ambivalent about the system but feels only one unsuccessful referral per innings would stop teams simply having a guess.
