Gold for Aleh and Powrie

The Olympic sailing champions Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie have won gold in the 470 at the Olympic Sailing Test Event in Rio.

The pair finished fourth in Sunday's medal race to top the podium.

New Zealanders Paul Snow-Hansen and Daniel Willcox scooped bronze in the men's 470 after coming from 6th to win the medal race.

The two medals take New Zealand's medal haul at the regatta to four following gold in the men's 49er and silver in the women's 49erFX.

The next major event on the Olympic sailing calendar is the Sailing World Championships in Santander, Spain from 8-21 September 2014.
