The New Zealand women's softball team have fallen to their second defeat at the world championships in the Netherlands, in a rain affected 8-1 loss to Canada.
Yesterday the White Sox were beaten 1-nil by Cuba, and beat Russia 5-1 in their opening match.
They now meet the highly ranked Japan tomorrow morning.
New Zealand haven't won the women's world championship since 1982.
