Ireland end year unbeaten with South Africa win

South Africa's nightmare northern rugby tour has ended with a 15-10 loss to Ireland at Croke Park.

Irish first five eighth Jonathan Sexton, who only made his debut against Fiji last weekend, kicked all the home side's points.

The Springboks had gone into half-time 10-6 in front but Sexton was the difference while the Six Nations Champions kept the World Cup holders and Tri Nations champions scoreless in the second spell.

The loss completes a miserable tour for the Springboks, who also lost to France and saw their reserve team beaten by English club sides Leicester and Saracens with only a win over Italy to celebrate.
