O'Brien appears confident of playing in Wellington

The New Zealand pace bowler Iain O'Brien will have his finger looked at today but seems confident of playing in the second test against Pakistan in Wellington later this week.

O'Brien dislocated the middle finger on his bowling hand trying to take a catch off his own bowling as he helped the Black Caps to a 32-run victory in Dunedin on Saturday.

O'Brien, who took 3 for 63 in the Pakistan second innings, says his finger is swollen and sore, but bends and gave the impression that it should be okay.

The selectors named their squad for the first two tests... all-rounder Grant Elliott scored 8 and 25 and bowled only 2 overs... while the other 2 options are spinner Jeetan Patel and pace bowler Darryl Tuffey.
