The Kiwis prop Sam Kasiano has been ruled out for the rest of the National Rugby Season season, requiring an ankle operation.
The Canterbury Bulldogs player was initially expected to be out for a month after suffering the injury against Brisbane two weeks ago, but the Bulldogs medical staff say the injury is was worse than first thought.
He is due to have surgery on Thursday.
The Bulldogs have also lost young forward Lloyd Perrett for six to eight weeks with a high-grade ankle sprain suffered in Friday's win over Parramatta.
