Team New Zealand have finished last in the latest round of the Extreme Sailing Series on Cardiff Bay, in Wales.

Their 11th placing means they drop to fourth overall in the championship.

Team New Zealand had a tough regatta from the outset suffering collision damage on the second day of racing.

They had a win and a second placing on the final day of racing but combined with other poor results, they dropped from eighth to last at the regatta.

Alinghi remain at the top of the overall leader board with The Wave second and another Swiss team, Realtime, third ahead of Team New Zealand.

The next regatta is in Istanbul, Turkey starting on September 11th.
