Serbia led 46-32 at half-time and weren't headed from there, continuing their remarkable run in the World Cup knockout rounds to book their place in Monday's final against the US.

Milos Teodosic led the way with 24 points while Bogdan Bogdanovic had 13 and three other Serbs had 10 points as they defeated France, who had beaten hosts and major title contenders Spain in the quarters.

It's the first World Cup podium finish for the Serbs as an independent nation, and they'll head into the final under no pressure after punching well above their weight in the 24-nation tournament.

They squeezed into the last 16 from a tough preliminary group with a 2-3 record but then brushed aside more fancied Greece and Brazil before an impressive win against the French.
